It goes without saying that different countries have different customs. The same can be said about wedding customs. Iraq has its own unique wedding customs. The day before the wedding: the henna night, where the bride decorates her hands and feet with henna. Friends, relatives and neighbors get together to celebrate that night. The next day, the bride wears a beautiful white dress and the groom often wears a black suit. The groom goes to the bride’s house to bring her to his house or take her to a fancy hotel. Then, the guests are invited to a delicious dinner banquet. The day after the wedding, friends and relatives visit the couple and present gifts and congratulations to them.
